Rhythms of the Lakhey

Lakhey is a demon God, worshipped by the Newari community of Nepal, and their migrated communities in Darjeeling and Sikkim (within the Indian borders). I visited Darjeeling many times in my life, but in 2015 I happened to travel during a festival called Phulpati- it's more like a large parade, where all the ethnic communities of that hill region come out to celebrate the main festival Durga Puja (a 9 day celebration of the Goddess Durga).
